A vase that was being used to prevent the door from slamming in a toilet in a house in England found a buyer for £3,400 at the auction where it was presented.
The vase is associated with China’s Ming Dynasty.
Amanda Lawler shared that they bought the vase for £8.5 from a second-hand shop in Essex.
Lawler explained that she had given her daughter the task of finding a decorative item for their second bathroom, and that’s how the vase ended up in their home.
Lawler jokingly admits that she sent a message to her daughter, who took the photo of the vase, instructing her to negotiate the price.
